Peu après, un autre élève nommé Krilin fait son apparition et demande lui aussi au maître de l'entraîner. Celui-ci accepte à condition que les deux garçons lui ramènent une jeune fille pour lui tenir compagnie. Krilin et Sangoku partent alors dans une région sinistre, à la recherche d'une princesse endormie qui accepterait de les suivre
