Derek Brockway recalls cycling around Lake Vyrnwy with fellow weather presenter Siân Lloyd. They learned about the village that was flooded to make way for the reservoir, which still supplies Liverpool with water, and marvel at the famous dam, a Victorian engineering feat. He also remembers walking a section of the Slate Trail in Eryri National Park, where he enjoyed a spot of rock climbing and bumping into a pair of llamas while exploring the Berwyn Mountains in north-east Wales.
